Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Training June 17-19, 2022
This important course is designed for anyone who works with the Prenatal and Postnatal population, including yoga teachers, fitness instructors, doulas and other health professionals as well as parents-to-be.
We will look at practices for each stage including support for fertility, partner yoga for pregnancy and labour, postpartum recovery and parent/baby yoga. Resources will also be provided in the event of pregnancy loss.
Topics include pelvic floor issues, diastasis recti, scar care and teaching to online students.
This is a fun and comprehensive weekend training program. My goal is for students to understand the pre and postnatal body and feel confident modifying their own practice to suit their individual needs and goals.
As instructors, you will feel more capable and confident, your classes will be more accessible and welcoming, and make you stand out as a skilled yoga teacher!

Practice postures that encourage a healthy, happy pregnancy and birth. Connect with other mamas-to-be as you move your body in ways that feel good and help alleviate some of the common effects of pregnancy. You will learn breathing and relaxation techniques, as well as simple postures that can be beneficial for your pregnancy, labour and motherhood!
We will discuss topics such as pelvic floor and pelvic stability, diastasis prevention, pain management and birth positions. No previous yoga experience required.
Gently stretch, strengthen and relax areas of the body affected by parenthood, meet other parents & bond with your baby using songs, physical movements and simple infant massage. Focus is on proper breathing & posture and poses that safely rebuild the core. This class is beneficial for anyone with diastasis recti or c-section scars.
We will discuss pelvic health, diastasis recti, c-section care, proper sitting & standing posture plus lifting & carrying baby. Class is designed for all levels and stages of the postpartum period.

EVERYONE has a pelvic floor! Yes, women, men and even children. Only recently, pelvic floor or pelvic health has started to become a more common topic. Perhaps you heard about it and are curious to learn more. Or maybe you have dealt with pelvic issues of your own or know someone who has. This course is designed to bring awareness and dispel myths, plus simple practices that can help alleviate symptoms, prevent future issues, and overall lead to better health and quality of life!
Topics include: •What is a pelvic floor and WHY you should care •Functions of the pelvic floor (PF) including proper breathing and core control •Common conditions such as hyper & hypo-tonic PF, incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain •How posture and breathing affect the pelvic floor •Kegels: Should we do them? Maybe - but not for the reason you think! •Other topics include healthy bathroom habits, yoni eggs and PF weights •How Yoga can help
This is a fun and interactive workshop open to ALL including men, children, non-binary peoples and women in all stages of their life. No previous yoga experience required. Variations and modifications will be offered for those with limited mobility.

We will discuss issues like what to look out for after having a baby, plus safe & simple things you can do to start your journey to recovery and physical fitness. This is for both parents, taking into consideration the type of birth had, as well as for the adoptive parent!
